International distinction for Polish architect
Polish architect Robert Konieczny has been included in the list of the top 40 European architects under the age of 40, the Polish Radio External Service reports.
The ‘Europe 40 Under 40’ list has been compiled jointly by the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Art and Design.
Konieczny, aged 39, is a graduate of the School of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology. His Katowice-based KWP Promes Studio is recognised as one of the most exciting architectural studios in the world. The prestigious portal World Architecture News named Aatrial House in Opole designed by Robert Konieczny the House of the Year 2006.
‘Europe 40 Under 40’ is an annual awards programme which celebrates the next new talented generation of European architects.
