Paris is an ideal choice for a short break any time of the year. With journey times being around 4 hours, this leaves you with plenty of time to fit in sightseeing. And there is no better place to go sightseeing than Paris.
If this is your first visit to Paris then I’m sure you already have a rough itinerary planned out of the sites that you will not want to miss. Just to insure that you don’t miss out on anything, here are just a few of the most well known and popular attractions in Paris.
Eiffel Tower > This one is a bit obvious and also impossible to miss. The Eiffel Tower is easily one of the world’s most recognisable monuments. This amazing work of engineering is visible from just about every vantage point in Paris, so this is one of Paris’ attractions that you cannot fail to notice. One word of warning: if you choose to get close to this monument then be prepared for large crowds! Although, braving the crowds is something every first-time visitor to Paris has to do.
The Louvre Museum > The famous Louvre is one of the most visited art Museums in the world. However, the Museum’s immense size does demand plenty of your time to fully explore and appreciate - ideally half a day. Remember, this is the Museum that is home to one of the world’s most treasured masterpieces, the Mona Lisa. So be sure not to miss out on viewing this.
The Arc de Triomphe > This is another of Paris’ attractions that you can’t fail to notice. This monument is devoted to the French emperor and military genius, Napoleon Bonaparte. If you have the legs for it, then you have to opportunity to tackle the 100 steps to the top.
One trip to Paris is never enough. With so much culture and diversity on offer, you could easily visit Paris year after year and never get bored.
